The Most Frequently Asked Questions...

Do you take Credit Cards?
Payments to CWC must be with cash or check. No credit cards or travelers' checks will be accepted.
What does "3 Rounds of Edits/Revisions" mean?
CWC considers all initial design time to be billable, and then includes the first 3 rounds of revisions without extra charge. The first round is the client's first request for edits in response to the receipt of the first PDF proof via email. After the third round of edits has been completed, hourly billing resumes for additional revisions.
What is a "Favicon"?
According to Wikipedia.com, a favicon (short for 'favorites icon'), also known as a website icon, page icon or urlicon, is an icon associated with a particular website or webpage. The web designer creates this icon to be shown in the web address or url bar, before the webpage name.  See Sample Favicon >>
Do you maintain websites after they've been designed and/or developed?
Yes, CWC offers fast-turnaround website maintenance as a service, even after the site has been designed/developed. If the site was designed by CWC, just email your instructions/request for page updates; our goal is to upload your changes to the site within 24 hours. If your site was designed/developed/maintained by a third party, and CWC has never before had access to your website source files (html, images, script files, FTP access info, etc.), updates to your site will be on hold until the designer receives all files and access information needed to begin.
What does your "Print Admin Fee" cover?
For those customers who do not opt to handle the printing vendor relations for their project(s), CWC procures contractor estimates, and coordinaties with the chosen vendor(s) for final production; the fee also covers time required to prepare press-ready files from the approved artwork, and handle final-stage printer proof reviews and approvals. The fee is 15% of the final contractor costs.
Why do I receive invoices from Color Wheel Creatives, LLC AND from individual contractors?
Under Maryland law, business services are not taxable, but of course selling an actual product is. As a simple business structure, CWC does not need to charge tax because it only offers services; if we were to include contractor costs in our invoices, the business structure would need to be changed extensively to handle the submission of monthly Federal taxes. For now, we keep it simple and allow the vendors to bill directly to the client, and our Print Admin Fee is added to the CWC invoice.
